Tiffany Haddish Reveals She’s Had 8 Miscarriages

Actress Tiffany Haddish recently revealed that she has suffered eight miscarriages in her lifetime.

A recent profile in the Washington Post talked about how the actress from the new “Haunted Mansion” movie answered a phone call with her OBGYN and bared all to tell them that she had suffered her eighth miscarriage just a few days ago.

“Well, I’m going to be honest with you, this would be my eighth one. I’ve got a uterus shaped like a heart. It just won’t keep anything in,” Haddish explained to a nurse over the phone.

Haddish has been vocal about her fertility challenges to a certain extent over the previous years. She told Glamour “… if I get pregnant, that is all God—tearing down all walls, all barriers… Now, if that did happen, we’re gonna hire some help, then we’re gonna cry a lot… And I’m not gonna be ‘baby mama,’ I’m gonna be ‘wife.’”

According to the Cleveland Clinic, a “ bicornuate uterus is described as heart-shaped, appearing to have two sides instead of being one hollow cavity. It’s a rare, congenital condition that can cause complications during pregnancy. It can only be treated with surgery.”

Therefore, those who have the ability to become pregnant with a bicornuate uterus must be extremely cautious throughout their entire pregnancy. This condition is typically presented at birth, which means there is nothing that can be done to prevent it.

While this condition can be treated with surgery, it is only performed under certain circumstances and exceptions. Unfortunately, not everyone is eligible for this surgery, even women looking to have children

The “Girls Trip” star understands that there are other alternatives to having a child besides having a child of your own. As far as becoming a mother, Haddish has looked into adoption over the years, as a way to achieve her goal. Being a child who has previously spent time in
